The scene
Skinner invites Chalmers to lunch, burns the roast and passes off fast-food burgers as “steamed hams”, a regional dialect. When the kitchen catches fire, he insists the glow is the aurora borealis.
The segment is endlessly remixed. “Steamed hams” stands for any lie that grows more absurd with every explanation.
